Its been a long time since I have been on here. I hadn't really had time to sit down and blog, but I have found recently I have much more free time now since we have gotten rid of the TV. Well, we didn't actually literally throw out the TV, but we only have one channel now(which is a news channel)so that pretty much means no TV for me. My kids however still enjoy watching movies I pick out for them. But madilynn seems to be getting more into reading books(she doesn't actually read them, I do, but you know what I mean ;).

It wasn't our choice to have no TV, we honestly couldn't afford the bill anymore and seeing how it is one of our higher bills and not a necessity, it got the boot(it was high since we also had TV, phone and Internet, now I get free Internet and I am looking for a different "cheaper" provider for my phone service). My kids haven't noticed at all, I wasn't too thrilled about it at first because there were a couple shows I really enjoyed watching in the evenings, and my husband..well, he hasn't been here since we cut it off so I don't know his reaction yet.

Now that I am getting used to it, I actually don't miss it and I have noticed how much free time I have when my kids are asleep! I never EVER realized how much time I spent sitting on the couch zoned into the thing. I actually always said I don't watch that much TV, or I'm not a big TV fan. WELL I was wrong, even if I just watch a few shows at night, that is a good hour to two hours+ of waisted time EVERY evening! Now I can fill those two+ hours up with scrap booking, organizing my menus and coupon, taking a nice warm bath, making hair bows or sewing, reading(I could go on, but I think you get the picture).
There are a LOT of things I enjoy doing that I forget to make time to do. Not to mention my kids are much happier because I can actually sit down and play a game with them, or paint my daughter fingernails like I did tonight. I am also looking forward to my husband coming home from his work trip and being able to spend quality time together.

So now as you can tell I am a BIG fan of no TV. I will say that doesn't mean my husband and I won't watch a movie together on occasion, it is nice to sit and relax and watch a movie. I am not against TV watching at all, but for me now, I feel extremely happy with it off for the most part :-)

I won't keep blabbing on about this, Just sharing my thoughts for the evening. Goodnight and lots of blessings :)
